Toddle Inn Daycare Society
Meet the Team
Kimberly McCutcheon
Program Supervisor
I've been working in childcare since 2008, and it has been a rewarding experience for me. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of working with children ranging from 12 months to 12 years old. In 2013, I completed my Early Learning and Childcare Diploma at Medicine Hat College, which further enhanced my skills and knowledge in this field. I joined the Toddle Inn Daycare Society in December of 2022 as an Out of School Care (OSC) staff and have since been promoted to Program Supervisor.

I'm pretty new to the childcare field. I was born and raised in India, but I've been living in Canada for a few years now. I've got quite a few degrees under my belt - a Bachelor's in Education, a Bachelor of Arts, a Master's in English Literature, a Master's in Business Administration, and a Diploma in Pharmacy. On top of that, I'm a proud parent of two lovely children. I absolutely love being around kids and spending time with them.

I have a background in computer science and I've also earned my level 1 ECE certification. I am in the process of completing my Level 3 certification But what really gets me excited is creating fun and educational experiences for young children. I truly believe that learning should be enjoyable, and I'm thrilled to be a part of their journey as they discover more about the world around them.

I am currently working on obtaining my Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certificate at Robertson College. My passion for working with children continues to grow each day. Sometimes I forget I'm the teacher because I learn just as much from the children.

I have a passion for learning and constantly seek out new information on various topics and subjects. I am always curious about how things work and doing research to learn most of the “science behind” things and stuff.

I was born in Calgary Alberta with my twin sister. I was supposed to be a quadruplet but I ended up with just my twin sister. Since the beginning of junior high I found out that I had an extra bone in both of my ankles which I had to get surgery on to remove them so my whole High school years I was basically using crutches because of those surgeries. Since I was little I wanted to be a teacher of some sort and that dream has become a reality today. In my spare time I like to put earphones in and carve into wood and build sets of Lego.

I've been working in childcare for a whopping 30 years now. I've had experience in both daycare centers and even ran my own dayhome. I've worked with kids of all ages, from little infants to energetic 13-year-olds. When I'm not busy at work, I absolutely love spending quality time with my lovely family and my adorable cats.

This career is full of promise and reward, I take great joy working with the children of our future. As the oldest of five and a mom that ran a dayhome and then began working at an elementary school through my childhood, I was exposed to childcare at a very young age. I too began babysitting, expanding to volunteering in classrooms, moving into having my own toddler classrooms in the daycares I had the pleasure of working in as I moved through adulthood and into motherhood. Once my oldest was born, I opened a dayhome that allowed me to raise three beautiful daughters for the last 20 years. When not working, my husband and I like to explore the little towns of Alberta, camping and enjoying nature with our two dogs. I have an addiction to gardening and photography and spend most of the year outdoors indulging in these hobbies.

However, my true passion lies in working with three to five-year-olds.
